20.000€ budget. This was the starting point. Additionally, the renovation had to be fully undertaken, as the original spatial structure of the dwelling was not profitable and, above all, turned its back to the splendid trees of the overlooking botanical garden. Consequently, the house was proposed more as an infrastructure than something entirely finished: it is a matter of prioritising. And so demolitions, new partitions, a large glass front, the bathroom and minimum installations were carried out; along with the decision of reducing “qualities”. It would be the client, who, thanks to his complicity and work, would gradually finish his own house (painting, kitchen, interior framework, etc). The original doors were kept: once disassembled and repaired, they were fixed in pairs, forming sliding and translucent screens. A small recycling experience which turned out to be very satisfying.
