The project, in all its facets, claims the culture of the southern city, the Mediterranean City. The form, the construction of the house, the neighbourhood relationship and the voluntary dissolution between the domestic and the collective imply a very human way of living, and of living together.
At the urban level, the project has a unique location in the neighbourhood of Santa Anna, next to the Beniopa cliff and between the expansion district in Gandía and the start of the Montdúver mountain range. It is a developing area, uncluttered and very landscaped, close to the city. The project takes advantage of these stimuli and de-densifies as much as possible to establish a coexistence with its surroundings and landscape, therefore, the vacant spaces of the second floor and the residential floors look outward and relate to the surrounding geography and its neighbourhood.
The dwellings are organized around a landscaped courtyard. This green atrium and the terraces of the houses, which surrounds the entire outer perimeter of the building, generate climatic transition spaces between the building and the exterior. On the other hand, the first floor and the roofs are filled with collective uses that, together with the common areas of the rest of the floors, draw a network of spaces for neighbourhood relationships. On the other hand, it is very important that the building is cheerful and optimistic, that it is extroverted, as this will encourage positive dynamics.
