The brief was for a group of 50 m2 apartments for rent (including corresponding services), aimed at both young and elderly people in a peripheral urban area of the city. The building is divided into two well-differentiated blocks facing two different streets and separately housing each group of dwellers, yet without renouncing the superior order of the building itself. Separated by a landscaped inner courtyard, the two blocks meet in a sort of irregular chamfered corner, merging the geometries of both buildings into a single whole which insinuates itself into the street. The various typologies are organized with a modulated metric and arranged such that access to the homes is along corridors, thus promoting the socialisation of users. Terraces are included in all homes, trusting in their capacity to qualify them as outdoor spaces and as a screen between the city and the home. The outer tissue of the building is conformed by mobile solar protectors that reinforce the individuality of each home.
