The mountains to the north and the green area to the south suggested a layout in this direction to ensure a continuous presence. The proposal comprises four towers (three resting on a plinth) arranged irregularly on the site. The use of changing vertical and horizontal sections avoids any interference between the different volumes and underscores their independence, further enhanced by the softened curved corners of the towers, calming the inevitable tensions between them. The project’s ground level becomes a spatial framework which flows through the volumes as squares, streets, arcades and passages presented as public space. The views and the interior spaces of all homes are qualified by the duality created between the scale of these spaces and a wider scale established by the faraway mountains. The building envelopes consist of a number of consecutive metal rings establishing a relationship with the adjacent towers through a series of fictitious horizontal planes.
