The project deals with the resolution of a large logistics warehouse and a tertiary facility on a somewhat unique plot for this type of infrastructural places, normally so dehumanized: firstly, because this park is reasonably well designed and, secondly, because in front of our plot (which occupies a privileged position in the complex) is the archaeological site of a large Roman villa that was dedicated to supplying the nearby city. Interestingly, the same activity as our building, but 2,000 years ago.
Once the main functional requirements have been understood and resolved, the proposal focuses on establishing volumetric strategies for such an enormous scale: on nuanced scale and on responding to the stimuli of the context. Likewise, an attempt is made to enrich the inevitable abstraction of volume, with its textures, its gradation and its perception at different distances. Finally, a great effort is made to optimize the environmental interaction of the building and bet on the comfort of the users: first by providing a typological variant different from the usual one in the office area and, second, by introducing all the vegetation that a project of these characteristics can allow.
